Young leaders

A Roaring Start to the Year
Elizabeth Chan was one of a number of Young Leaders volunteered at the Auckland Lantern Festival which took place between 26-28 February in Albert Park. She gives us a flavour of the event.
"Flocks of sheep, pinstriped zebras, insect musicians, crouching tigers and not-so-hidden dragons were among the zoo of animals greeting me at the entrance of Albert Park. Towering trees were decked with bright red lanterns and spicy chillies, glittering in the dark. Princes Street was ablaze with activity as people jostled with one another, trying to get into lines to taste laksa noodles, fried dumplings, spring rolls, kebabs and all the other tempting Asian delicacies on offer."
