Teresa Lee 李慧
Teresa's family are Hakka people from Guangdong, China, who immigrated to Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa, where she was born and raised.
Teresa holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Commerce and was recently admitted as a barrister and solicitor.
She currently supports YWCA Auckland in delivering GenderTick, Aotearoa's only workplace gender equality accreditation, along with other Gender at Work initiatives.
Teresa also loves the creative arts, performing across theatre, screen, and voice in English, Māori, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Behind the scenes, she's helped Auckland Theatre Company and NZ Opera with Asian community outreach.
Teresa is passionate about how cross-cultural understanding and collaboration can address local and global challenges.
She serves as a Trustee for the NZ Youth Global Awareness Trust and previous volunteer roles include UN Youth National President, NZCTA Young Associates HR Manager, and coach for Auckland University's team in the Trans-Atlantic Negotiation Competition.
