New Zealanders’ Perceptions of Asia and Asian Peoples 2009
This research report presents the 2009 results of the annual ‘Perceptions of Asia’ survey conducted for the Asia New Zealand Foundation (Asia:NZ).
It is an up-to-date ‘snapshot’ of public opinion surrounding New Zealand’s relationship with Asia, the importance of Asia to New Zealand’s future, and public perceptions regarding the people of Asia and how they contribute to New Zealand.
A total of 1,000 telephone interviews were conducted with New Zealanders aged 15 years or over between the 31st August and 28th September 2009. This survey has a margin of error of +/-3.1% at the 95% confidence level.
