Mr Stanley Tan ONZM

Asia Honorary Adviser, Singapore



Stanley is a proud and devoted father of two daughters, a businessman and a committed humanitarian. Since the age of 35, he has placed an equal emphasis on business and volunteering, and is a firm believer in building a strong civil society and promoting strategic philanthropy. 

He currently serves as Principal of Rumah Group, Director of Rumah Foundation, CEO of Sedar Properties, Chairman of Asia Community Foundation, Founder of South Central Community Family Service Centre, Founder of =DREAMS Asia and Chairman of =DREAMS Singapore, Board Member of Teach For All Inc, and a member of the Honorary Advisors of the Asia New Zealand Foundation.  

Prior to this, Stanley co-founded and served as Chairman of the Asia Philanthropy Circle, founded The Hope Fund, co-founded the MILK Fund, and has held several key volunteer positions, including Vice-Chairman of the Singapore Red Cross Society, member of Singapore’s Charity Council, Board Member of Alola Foundation (Timor-Leste), Chairman of Opportunity International (Singapore), and Chairman of Singapore’s National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre. 

Stanley was conferred an Honorary Officer to the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2002 and received the Singapore National Day Award in 2011. He has also been commended by the Singapore Red Cross Society; the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports; the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth; and the National Council of Social Service. In 2015, he was recognised by the New Zealand High Commission for his contribution to Singapore and New Zealand’s 50 year partnership, and New Zealand and ASEAN’s 40 year partnership.
