Mairātea Mohi, a mokopuna of Te Arawa and Te Whānau-ā-Apanui, is a writer, editor and publishing associate committed to bringing te ao Māori to the global stage.
Raised by her Ngāti Rangiwewehi elders on the shores of Lake Rotorua, she discovered her passion for storytelling amongst great orators.
Her childhood welcoming international manuhiri to her hometown sparked a deep interest in Asia.
Now, as a publisher, Mairātea is dedicated to amplifying new voices and perspectives, continuing her mission to enrich the literary landscape and bridge cultural divides through storytelling.
