Leadership Network Ngopi & Kōrero
Find out about connecting with fellow network members to make new friends, discuss life, leadership and Asia and help strengthen the bonds that make the Leadership Network special.
In 2019, the Asia New Zealand Foundation Te Whītau Tūhono launched the Ngopi & Kōrero project — an initiative to connect members with each other amidst Covid-19 travel restrictions.
The idea for Ngopi & Kōrero was put forward by network member Sebastian Newman-Dennis and started as a special project. It's based on a programme of randomised coffee meet-ups that are popular among organisations all around the world.
After four years, we've matched around 600 network members for catchups and created a safe space to build personal connections for around 250 members, with great relationships and ideas coming from those conversations. We are excited to kick off this project again in 2024.
Members who sign up will be randomly paired together to meet in-person or online, leading to more connections across the network, conversations on Asia, and potentially avenues to work together.
