Equipping young New Zealanders to thrive in the Asian Century
The Asia New Zealand Foundation is dedicated to strengthening New Zealand’s links with Asia and equipping New Zealanders’ to thrive in the Asian Century. The Foundation works in the areas of education, media, culture, business, research and leadership development.
We are seeking someone to work in our education programme team to develop Asia-equipped schools. Responsibilities include liaison with schools, event and project management, grant administration and development of initiatives that contribute to Asia-equipped schools. Some national and international travel is required.
You will have a tertiary qualification in education or equivalent experience and training and knowledge of the New Zealand education system and practices. Being up-to-date with the challenges facing New Zealand school principals and teachers and established networks in New Zealand schools will be important. You should enjoy working as part of a small dynamic team. This is a hands-on role requiring well developed administration skills and demonstrated project and event management experience. An understanding of current issues affecting New Zealand’s ties with the Asian region is essential.
This one year full-time fixed-term role is based in central Auckland.
